A wide-fit casual sneaker with breathable mesh, extended size options, and a slip-resistant outsole, developed around an easy low-profile silhouette for customizable OEM / ODM footwear programs.
This model is designed for brands that need a casual sneaker with more internal space than a conventional narrow last. The broad forefoot and extended size direction make it especially relevant for collections where fit accessibility matters, while the low-profile board-shoe silhouette keeps the product visually simple enough for daily wear. Breathable mesh prevents the wider construction from feeling unnecessarily heavy, giving the shoe a lighter and more relaxed character.
The main design point is the relationship between width and proportion. A wide last should create usable space around the forefoot and toe area without making the shoe look excessively bulky from the outside. Mesh panels can be placed across the vamp and side areas to improve airflow and visually break up the volume, while the flatter casual sole keeps the overall profile grounded. A slip-resistant tread pattern can be developed for more secure everyday contact on common walking surfaces.
For custom development, the last width, toe-box volume, size range, mesh density, reinforcement panels, collar padding, tongue thickness, lacing structure, lining, insole cushioning, midsole firmness, outsole rubber compound, tread pattern, sole thickness, color combination, logo application, and packaging can all be adjusted. The same platform can be developed toward a cleaner lifestyle sneaker, a skate-inspired casual shoe, or a softer comfort-oriented everyday model.
Asahihara Co., Ltd. can support wide-last development, upper pattern adjustment, mesh and reinforcement material sourcing, outsole selection, sample making, fitting review, production management, QC, and bulk production follow-up. For large-size and wide-fit footwear, simply enlarging a standard pattern is not enough. Forefoot width, heel hold, instep volume, flex position, and visual proportion need to be recalibrated together across the size range.
During sampling and bulk production, key checkpoints include actual internal width, toe space, heel retention, mesh stability, outsole grip, sole bonding, cushioning consistency, and size grading. Larger sizes place different demands on upper tension and bottom proportions, so fitting should be checked across more than one size before final approval.
